I am a Peninsula native, born and raised in Los Altos. Sports have been a very important part of my life since childhood. Growing up, I was always on a team. At St. Francis High School, I played both offense and defense for the CCS Champion Lancers football team as well as competed in wrestling. At UCLA, I continued to participate in athletics through various intramural squads. For several years I was the team chiropractor for the National Champion San Francisco City College Rams. More recently, I was the team physician for the Serra Padres. I still enjoy skiing, running, biking, and hiking. I greatly appreciate the outdoors. Lately, my newest obsession has been erging (indoor rowing).

My introduction to Chiropractic began at UCLA. At the time, I was experiencing chronic, severe back pain left over from my football days. I was working in a physical therapy clinic, and the exercises and rehabilitation offered there did little to reduce my symptoms. A friend of mine was attending Los Angeles College of Chiropractic and encouraged me to go to the school clinic. Within a few visits, my chronic pain had completely cleared up!

After earning a Physiology Sciences degree, I knew I wanted to continue in the health field. My love for sports, the outdoors, and practicing wellness led me to Chiropractic. I attended Palmer College of Chiropractic. After receiving my doctorate degree, I started working in the office of Dr. Ron Oler who both educated and inspired me. Dr. Oler was famously the official team chiropractor for the San Francisco 49ers during their superbowl heyday. After completing this preceptorship I opened my own family practice, Isero Chiropractic. I spent seven happy years operating a successful solo practice close to home. In 2006, I knew that it was time to expand and decided to relocate to Alliance Chiropractic in Millbrae.

On a personal level, I married my college sweetheart and have two beautiful children. My daughter currently attends Georgetown where she is working toward a dual MBA/MPP degree. She is an avid outdoorswoman and can frequently be seen traveling or backpacking. My son attends the University of Oregon and is working toward a data science degree. When he is not studying you will find him playing the guitar, which is his passion.

We have two dogs. We have a Silver Labrador puppy called Stanley, who is named after a town in Sun Valley that we adore; and the Golden Retriever, Chewy, is named after Chewbacca from Star Wars. As a family, we do a lot of activities together: skiing, hiking, and biking are some of our favorites. We always go on an annual summer trip to Sun Valley Idaho, home to some of the best outdoor activities in the world. My wife and I are heavily involved in the local community with volunteering at school and local community organizations. She is the executor director for the HSF foundation. I have been involved with AYSO, the American Youth Soccer Organization, for many years, including in the roles of regional commissioner, treasurer, and Area board member. I have also been involved with the Serra Father’s Club.

I participate in most HMO and PPO plans. This list includes Kaiser, Health Plan of San Mateo, Aetna, Blue Shield, Medicare, UnitedHealthcare, Blue Cross, PhysMetrics, HealthNet, Cigna, Optum Health, ASHP, and Landmark (plus many more). I am the exclusive chiropractor in Millbrae contracted with Landmark, HPSM, and PsyMetrics. I also accept Workers’ Compensation and union plans. Personal injury cases can be taken on a lien basis. Affordable cash plans are always available.
